Your empty cartridges doing their bit….

Your empty cartridges doing their bit…. 19 October 2022

This week, we totted up the difference between the cost of the safe disposal of your old remanufactured cartridges and the residual value of your empty originals. The balance has been rounded up to £200 and donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our Collection Service

Give us a call and we will deliver a large ink and toner collection box to your site. Remove all the packaging from the toner or ink cartridge and place it in the box. When the box is full, give us a call and well replace the box. We’ll also issue you with a Waste Transfer Note to record your compliance with legislation.

Safe Disposal

Inks and Toners are mildly toxic, due to the residual ink and toner in them. They are classed as hazardous waste and should not be disposed of in general waste. Their safe disposal involves a cleaning process which evacuates this residual gunk and if not reused for remanufatured cartridges the core and the moving parts are seperated and recycled.

Residual Value

The empty cores can be reused in remanufactured catridges so are of value to the remanufacturing companies. They pay a nominal value for every returned original core, dependant upon it’s popularity and availability.

Charity

We offset the cost of safely recycling the unwanted cores with the residual value of the re-usable ones and donate those proceeds to charity. So as well as doing your bit for the environment you are also helping those in need.
